Born in Derby in 1972, Skegness based Gary Starr has spent the last few years creating his own theatre space, which has been built piece by piece literally by his and a few friends own hands. The Neverland Theatre in Skegness is a 100-seat intimate venue that hosts various shows and plays including Gary’s own productions which was his primary reason for creating this unique space. Dracula took many years to create and inspiration was found in many places, some was written in Whitby Abbey and the second half only came to him a week before opening. There was a total of five complete re-writes but the end result is a unique piece of theatre.
It is the first part of four plays within the Carpathian Chronicles, where the same Characters will cross over into different stories. Part 2 is Frankenstein the Modern Prometheus, Part 3 a unique spin of play based on the Mary Character from Dracula “The Legend of Bloody Mary” and Part 4 “Mr. Hyde”
